Yeah, current style fits NFS:U well, but... it looks a bit too old, doesn't it? It's also kinda ugly (4me at least). Current UI can scare some of new players.
So, suggestion is simple: new UI. Modern, fast, comfortable (and not so ugly). Smooth text animation, darker colors. Well, you know, more user-friendly.

New UI is something very complex and time-eating. We don't have much to bother about it now.

The loading screen looks great, but i think that the UI doesn't really fit nfssa, new garage model would be much better change.

A new and more modern/catchy UI would be the best idea. The one we got right now looks quite simple and gets boring after a while. But as bartek said it is very hard and time consuming so I don't think we are getting this any time soon, tho I fully support the idea.
