Eddie's vinyl mistake/error?

Something I never understood, though... Why is the right side always placed higher than the left one? That totally screws up my vinyl planning. It's a really peculiar issue to have and I don't yet know exactly why it happens, specially it being in all the cars.
I'm pretty sure whoever made the vinyl system must have gone crazy over it.
