Might be the graphic card's driver. To my experience, NVIDIA drivers are extremely unstable, specially on AMD builds from your generation (same as mine).
I actually had to trade my NVIDIA card I had at the time (pretty high end and everything) for a cheaper AMD just so I could turn on my PC like it's supposed to, so I would really consider driver issues in NVIDIA products if everything else is fine.
