What do Mods do?

I'm already enjoying NooCube and I'm just curious, what is a moderator's job, what do they have to do, yes I know they are responsible for muting players that spam,  Raceban people that leave races etc. but what's behind the curtain? Is that all they have to do or do they have something more that we don't know. I just want to know how is a mod's perspective. Out of curiousity that's all.

Oh you mean those kind of 'mods.' I thought you meant mods as in game modifications. I was prepared to give a history lesson in game modding lol.
