As for the actual topic, I really think lennies and such should be allowed, they are just emoticons, what harm are they really doing? If you wanna ban lennies,etc, well, BAN ALL EMOTICONS from the chat, because this doesn't make any sense... If not, at least allow lennies when it is used with a context or so, because it isn't as annoying as you think.
