Thanks to nide and other for the feedback!
I tried making these changes to the map, and it really did make it feel "easier to breathe". I removed the red barrier completely, but I decided to leave some of the vehicles in place. With no any vehicles on the map at all, I feel a sense of emptiness as I drive through it.
Also, by moving the towtruck on the final turn, I was able to make the turn more interesting, creating two perfect racing lines on the same turn. (still mind about remove it)
