As i saw ingame its not 100% randomly because you can choose which type of vinyls you want to unlock "randomly".
Venom you need to understand that NFSSA isn't a solo game like NFSU2, so you need to make a part of discover for the player. i actually think that the system is done for now, because the vinyls aren't the best part of the games its just a features so unlocking vinlys randomly by class is almost pretty good.
I think we need to oriente the player to a new way of the simple (farming RP/cash for unlocking tuning part) way. Because we are on a multiplayer gamemode, after that the player enjoyed to unlocking tuning part he need to play for the community (friends, crew, events, etc...) and make the player at the center of the game and not like a standard user.
So for me the system of random vinyls is good and don't need to be changed at the moment.
Anyway the forum poll will give us our answer.
