Setting up a crew in current ways is pretty hard to some players, so I think splitting into two kinds of crew would make things easier and better:
OFFICIAL CREWS (shown in this color), which is from PUBLIC TEAMS (shown in this color) and PRIVATEER TEAMS (shown in this color)
The difference?
OFFICIAL CREWS
> Gets access to exclusive features* (refer below)
> Must have more than 15 members AND 750,000 average RP (admin's choice - just giving an example)
> The status of the crew can be determined by staff team (includes Mods, Super Mods, and Admins)
> Only available through creation of Public Teams
PUBLIC TEAMS
> Access to mainstream features and some extra features (admin-determinant)
> Unlimited member slot count (if technically impossible, set it as 50)
> Founders require $20,000 and 200,000 RP alongside 4 other members to create it (Alternatively, founder can split the funds to co-founders, i.e. 2 people paying $10,000 each, counts)
> PUBLIC TEAMS will not have the extra features* until getting OFFICIAL CREWS status.
PRIVATEER TEAMS
> Only access to mainstream features
> Works mostly like current crew system, but with few limitations:
> Max member count shouldn't exceed 8 (initially limited to 5, with possibility to extend member slots to 8)
> Founders can create such teams with lower requirements, such as $2,000 and 20,000 RP alongside 2 other members

That way crew system is much more tidied up. And better events too.
